July was a busy month at Jessica Loves HQ for Hand Painted Keepsake Boxes and Freestanding Names. The current turnaround time on all personalised wooden gifts is now approximately 3-4 weeks. My Christmas Eve Box Order Book is almost full already so if you would like to order one please shop here now as there are only a few slots remaining!
Frenchic Furniture Paint landed at Jessica Loves at the beginning of July and my first Reloved by Jessica Project is going to be our new Swing Set! I will be using the Al Fresco Outdoor Range in the Colours Ol Blue Eyes and Parma Violet so keep an eye out for that Blog Post coming soon!
Following on from the Frenchic Launch, I will be running some Furniture Painting Workshops in the Autumn. I made a very exciting announcement on the 29th July about my New Studio and you can read that here!
Last month I was nominated for an Amara Interior Blog Award YIPEEE! They asked me for a head shot and I didn’t have one…so I thought right it’s about time I got some professional photos taken for my Blog anyway so I immediately contacted Viv of R&R Photography. Viv did a shoot of my two babies last March (see those amazing photos here) but this time the focus was all on me and although I cringed the whole way through it, Viv still managed to make me look relaxed in most of the photos!! I would highly recommend Viv to anyone looking for shots for your Blog or Website as it really does give it that professional boost!
On Wednesday 5th July we had the Queen of the Sea Launch at Farrells Summerfield Bar. My fabulous Assistant Emer also took on the Role of Queen representing Jessica Loves being the perfect Ambassador for the Shop. I was so incredibly proud of how she spoke on Stage at the Festival on the 15th July as I know it’s not an easy thing to do!! I do speak from experience as I took part in the first ever Queen of the Sea Festival back in the 1800s (okay in 2010) but it felt that way standing next to this beauty being 20 years older than her…!
On Sunday 9th July myself and Eoghan took the kids to the Blarney in Bloom Summer Garden Fair at Blarney Castle. It was in aid of the Irish Guide Dogs and was such a fun family day out with gardening displays, arts & crafts, a farmer’s market, children’s entertainment and face painting – Ben wanted to be a Crab so Random!! The Castle and surrounding grounds are beautiful and the weather was just perfect for the #powerof4explore
Tuesday the 11th July was my 36th Birthday so I headed off to the Castlemartyr Resort to drown my sorrows….No I went for the Baobab Ritual Summer Treat instead!! This was one of the offers they had running for the month of July and as always it was just Heaven, so relaxing! You can check out their current special offers here.
On Thursday 20th July, I attended the Killarney Races with these glamorous ladies all wearing beautiful Bespoke Headpieces by Harper’s Hats. I wore an amazing percher style hat custom made by Lesley, my Dress was from Bella in Dungarvan, Shoes by Paul Byron and the Clutch was from New Look. Leeann, stunning in her Jumpsuit from BooHoo, got into the Top 10 Best Dressed Ladies on the day! We were extremely excited for Lesley who had TWO hats in the Top 10 at her First Ladies Day Event, I was so proud of her and it was just great to be a part of it all!
We were photographed all day long which created fantastic press coverage for Harper’s Hats and also managed to nab some photos with Thalia Heffernan who was judging Best Dressed Lady and Aidan O’Mahony who was judging Best Dressed Man and Erica Fox of Retro Flame all of which you can see on my Instagram Feed @jessicaloves_xx
While Lesley is pretty booked up at the moment, she does have some incredible rentals available including the ones pictured above, so do get in touch if you have an Occasion coming up and want to look and feel a million dollars!
On the 28th July, Rachel from the Rebel Review very kindly featured my Jessica Diaries Blog in her Let’s Blog Together Series. She wrote some really lovely words and I was so honoured to be interviewed for this feature, you can read it in full here. Thanks again Rachel!
Looking back now I realise how busy the month of July was but it was so lovely to have lots of nice places to go and people to see. We just ended the month with our friends’ wedding in Youghal and it was the best day and night we’ve had in a long time – super end to a super month!
Thanks for stopping by x
